Luxury adults-only suites in Paphos
Location: Cyprus
Website: asimina-cbh.com
A stylish all-suite hotel near the picturesque harbour town of Paphos, designed exclusively for adults. After an extensive remodel, the property opened as Asimina Suites in 2010, and is now very much established as a relaxed and intimate place to stay. Guests can be found lounging by one of the two resort pools, or in a private cabana on its lovely beach.
The property has four super restaurants, a boutique spa, fully equipped gym and tennis court, and each suite has its own balcony – some have private pools. There are also four great golf courses nearby for those looking to practice their swing.

Paphos is a place of perfect symmetry. Cyprus’ fourth-largest city is the gateway to world-famous historical sites and mosaics, sun-drenched coastline, and authentic taverna culture; couples particularly love the romance of Paphos’s Old Town and connection to goddess of love, Aphrodite, who according to Greek legend was born in Kouklia (in the wider Paphos district). Aphrodite’s mythical story forms a significant part of Paphos’ allure as she is believed to have emerged from sea foam near a large rock (Petra tou Romiou) just off a beach to the south-east of the city. This has become a popular attraction for beach-goers and walkers and lies just 20 minutes’ drive from Asimina Suites.

Asimina Suites’ location just down from the lively resort area of Kato near Paphos harbour is absolutely one of its biggest draws. Not only are you surrounded by pristine beaches and beautiful Mediterranean scenery, but you can reach some of the best bits of the city on foot via the seafront promenade in around 25 minutes, or catch a bus from outside the hotel. Because of the city’s former accolade as Capital of Culture in 2017, a lot of investment has gone into smartening up certain areas – like the beautiful harbour front – whilst restoring some of the historic parts to their former glory.
As the city is essentially one big Unesco Heritage Site, the result is a wonderful juxtaposition of old and new: the boutiques and cafés in pretty streets (make time for cake at Stephanie Rose) have been modernised in keeping with that old world character and lovely architecture we know and love, and the restaurants have that charming, Mediterranean authenticity. Build your sightseeing – House of Dionysus, Forty Columns Fortress, Paphos Castle, and the Tombs of the Kings; all easily accessible from the hotel – around lunch at Honey (one of the best) or Muse, which has tremendous views and a really fun bar.
